PAIGE MILES IS ELIMINATED ON “AMERICAN IDOL”

GRAMMY AWARD WINNER USHER TO MENTOR TOP 10 FINALISTS

ON R&B/SOUL-THEMED PERFORMANCE SHOW

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 31, ON FOX

Usher to Perform on Next Results Show Thursday, April 1

Finalist Paige Miles was eliminated last night on AMERICAN IDOL after she received the fewest of America’s votes. On Tuesday’s performance show, the Top 11 performed Billboard No. 1 hits, and Miles, 24, from Naples, FL, sang “Against All Odds.” In addition, this week’s mentor, Miley Cyrus, performed her hit “When I Look At You,” and Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato entertained the audience with their song “Make A Wave.”

sonyOn Wednesday, March 31, R&B superstar Usher will appear as a guest mentor and help the Top 10 finalists – Didi Benami, Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze, Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus, Katie Stevens and Tim Urban – prepare for their performances on an R&B/Soul-themed performance show.

Tune in the following night, Thursday, April 1 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), to see Usher perform his hit “OMG” and to find out who receives enough votes to stay in the competition.

AMERICAN IDOL is created and executive-produced by Simon Fuller, founder of 19 Entertainment; and executive-produced by Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO, FremantleMedia North America; and Ken Warwick, executive producer, FremantleMedia North America.

American Latino Syndication, a wholly-owned division of Los Angeles-based LATV Networks, announced that American Latino TV and LatiNation, the nationally syndicated half-hour television weeklies, will debut new seasons of their long-running shows in a record number of cities beginning this weekend, October 3 – 4.

“With Daisy Fuentes hosting and co-executive producing American Latino, this year looks like it could be our best ever,” said David Morales, LATV Vice President and Executive Producer of the programs. “We built a brand new set, upgraded our graphics package and transitioned to a multi-camera look while staying focused on delivering the quality stories about exceptional American Latinos that our viewers have grown to expect.”

American Latino’s record 8th season will premiere in an all-time high of 106 markets, representing over 92 % of Hispanic homes and 80 million total TV homes. LatiNation, in its 6th season, will be seen in an all-time high of 92 markets, reaching over 88 % of Hispanic homes and 68 million total homes. Both shows target the rapidly growing English speaking U.S.-born Hispanic market.

“Despite an incredibly challenging distribution environment in which infomercials and other paid programming became our biggest competitor, we rose to the challenge and delivered the most successful year in the history of these shows in terms of number of affiliates,” said Jeff Stern, Director of Distribution for American Latino Syndication and LATV.

LatiNation will continue to be hosted by Adesina “Desi” Sanchez and Jose Mangin, the show’s headliners since its launch six years ago. LatiNation will feature new segments, most notably “Represent!” which focuses on individuals who show outstanding leadership in their schools, workplace or communities, and “Make it Happen” which offers viewers everything from make-up tips to lessons on organizing financial priorities.

American Latino TV and LatiNation, award-winning, English-language Latino themed TV programs are part of LatiNation, LLC, and a subsidiary of LATV Networks.
