The countdown to the release of Flex’s new album has begun. In just 21 days, “Romantic Style Parte 3… Desde La Esencia” will be released, and this Wednesday is the worldwide online release of the first video, “Besos de amor”, on Univision.com.

As this song currently plays on all major US radio stations, and sells on all digital music download stores, the romantic style interpreter gives us a glimpse of the great year he has in store.

One of his first accomplishments so far includes two nominations to the 2010 Premios Billboard Awards, in the categories of: “Latin Rhythm Album of the Year,” for his album “La Evolución Romantic Style,” and “Latin Rhythm Album, Artist of the Year”.

The promotional video for said track was done by André Barren, renowned Televisa producer, and directed by Eduardo Duque.  The video shows a collaboration by Flex and Ricky Rick is slated to enter rotation on all major music channels over the next few weeks.

The video tells the story of a man in love who can only see the face of his loved one in all the other women he comes across in different situations throughout his day, as he is dying to kiss his girlfriend. It is full of humor and playfulness, as it features leads Omar Chaparro (winner of the comedic reality show “Hazme Reír”).

Sounds From Spain announces SXSW 2010 line-up; Los Planetas, Amaral, Huecco, Tom Cary, The Unfinished Sympathy & Nudozurdo to perform at this year’s SXSW Music Festival March 17-18 in Austin, Texas.

SXSW’s Sounds From Spain showcases, will take place Wednesday, March 17th at 7:30 p.m., at Encore Patio, 611 Red River St., and Thursday, March 18th at 4:30 p.m., at Brush Square Park East Tent.

Both showcases will feature all six artists, and the March 18 event will have all the atmosphere of an outdoor festival, with authentic cuisine and drink – paella, gazpacho, sangría, Spanish beer and wine.

Headlining is Amaral, the transcendent pop-rock duo comprising Eva Amaral and Juan Aguirre. Known for such Latin pop hits as “Sin Ti No Soy Nada” and “El Universo Sobre Mí,” this group recently released an acclaimed live album, La Barrera del Sonido, on EMI Music.

Deftly mastering what he calls “impossible fusions” of musical styles, Warner Music Latina artist Huecco brings a fascinating mix of flamenco, hip-hop and other sounds to his very personal songs.

The five-man group Los Planetas mixes psychedelia and high concept into their organic rock sound. A legend in Spanish alternative music, they’re promoting their new studio album Una Ópera Egipcia.

Founded in 2001, Nudozurdo is an indie foursome whose atmospheric rock and hypnotic sound invite us to get lost in the music.

Based in the multilingual city of Barcelona, The Unfinished Sympathy performs sharp, hook-filled guitar rock in English. Their new album is titled Avida Dollars, an anagram of Salvador Dalí’s name which his critics used as a pejorative, as they accused him of “selling out” for fortune in the Americas.

Some of the biggest names in UK and American music have joined forces to record an emotive cover of the REM classic “Everybody Hurts”, to raise money for charities supporting the relief efforts in Haiti. The final line up of featured artists is; Mariah Carey, Jon Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams, Kylie, Rod Stewart, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Miley Cyrus, Take That, Joe McElderry, Cheryl Cole, JLS, Mika, Michael Bublé, James Blunt, James Morrison, Susan Boyle, and Westlife.

The single will split all proceeds 50/50 between DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) and The Sun newspaper’s “Helping Haiti’ appeal. Prime Minister Gordon Brown has pledged to waive VAT on the single. The Haitian earthquake, which occurred on 12th January 2010 measuring a catastrophic 7.0 on the richter scale, is already estimated to have caused the deaths of over 250,000 people. 250,000 are in need of urgent aid  and more than 2 million people are estimated homeless and in need of long term support to help rebuild their lives.

Robbie Williams said: “I’m very honoured to be asked to contribute to the single. We can all do something to help the people of Haiti – and I urge everyone to do what they can.”

Mariah Carey said: When Simon Cowell approached me to take part in the charity single for Haiti I had absolutely no hesitation and I said yes instantly. Obviously we are all extremely saddened to see the pain and the hurt of the people of Haiti and I feel grateful as an artist to be able to help. I hope ‘Everybody Hurts’ helps to raise a very large amount of funds so the people of Haiti can rebuild their shattered lives. My heart goes out to every single person that has suffered and been affected by this tragedy.

This song will bring awareness to the suffering of the innocent people of Haiti and help them rebuild their lives and homes. Kylie Minogue said: “My heart goes out to all those affected in Haiti – the loss they have suffered is incomprehensible.  I’m honoured to be part of this project knowing funds will be delivered to the source.”

Rod Stewart said: I can’t think of a more fitting song than ‘Everybody Hurts’ to convey the unimaginable tragedy that is Haiti.  I hope the record sales raise a lot of money because the country certainly needs it.

Through a unique collaboration between Marvel Studios and Columbia Records, AC/DC’s music will be featured in Marvel Studios’ “IRON MAN 2,” the sequel to the 2008 blockbuster film.  In addition, Columbia Records will release the album AC/DC:  Iron Man 2 on Monday, April 19, 2010.  AC/DC:  Iron Man 2, features 15 classic AC/DC songs selected from ten of the band’s studio albums, ranging from 1976 to 2008.  The complete track listing can be found below.

In addition to musical performances, Wyclef Jean in New York City, George Clooney in Los Angeles, and CNN’s Anderson Cooper reporting from Haiti, “Hope for Haiti Now” will feature more than one hundred of the biggest names in film, television, and music supporting the cause with testimonials and by answering phones during the telethon.

Acclaimed in Spain and in Latin America from the moment they launched their first album in 2000, Spanish group El Canto del Loco (ECDL) will now conquer hearts in the United States with their soon to be released album Radio La Colifata presenta: El Canto del Loco.

And from that new musical production, the first single, Un millón de cicatrices, hits radio stations in this country today, January 12.

The members in this rock and pop band, whose origins go back to the mid-1990s, are Dani Martín (vocals), David Otero (guitar, chorus) and Chema Ruiz (bass).

Un millón de cicatrices is one of 20 songs that make up this album (recorded in Argentina), which features brand new versions of El Canto del Loco’s greatest hits. There is also a new song, Quiero aprender de ti, as well as duets with some of the greatest names in Spanish music today, including Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Natalia Lafourcade and Alejandro Sanz, among others.

Draco Rosa, one of Latin music’s most cutting-edge figures, launches the video for his latest song, Esto es vida!

Esto es vida is the second single from Amor Vincit Omnia (Love Conquers All), the new album by the Puerto Rican singer/songwriter, producer, poet, painter, writer, and actor. The video for this song written by Draco Rosa and by Luis Gomes-Escolar will make its debut in the United States on www.univision.com this Thursday, January 7. And that same day, it will air on TV in Puerto Rico.

Produced by Michael D. Schultz and Darius Anthony, the video for Esto es vida was shot in Los Angeles, California. Ángela Alvarado Rosa, the singer’s wife, directed the video.

With several weeks of preproduction and two days of shooting, the video for Esto es vida takes place within a 1940s circus atmosphere. And as is to be expected with everything Draco Rosa does, it will captivate audiences with its unforgettable images.

Draco Rosa, who last year won the Latin Grammy award in the category Best Rock Solo Vocal Album for Teatro, will begin his world tour in Puerto Rico on March 12.

(New York – NY) – Ke$ha – the red hot pop sensation who has taken the world by storm – hits the #1 spot on the SoundScan Digital Songs Chart and the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 today with her debut single “TiK ToK”. “TiK ToK” has been dominating the iTunes singles chart for weeks, and currently sits in the  #1 slot. On January 5th, 2010, Ke$ha will release her debut album “Animal” (RCA Records / Kemosabe Entertainment), which is available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon now.
